FAQs

Quick answers, in plain English

How does the Gold card bolt-on work?

The Gold Card is a bolt-on to your existing Rightcharge account. Your drivers carry both. They use the Standard Card for day-to-day coverage and the Gold Card at partner networks for the reduced charging rates. Savings are applied automatically at the charger

Do all my drivers have to have the Gold Card bolt-on?

The Gold Card is a bolt-on to the standard card, so each driver needs the Standard Card plan first. From there, you only add the Gold Card bolt-on to the drivers who need it.

How does billing work for the fleet?

It's all consolidated. Your single monthly invoice will clearly itemise the subscription for each driver (Standard and/or Gold) alongside their total charging spend, making cost allocation super simple.

How do I know which plan is right for a driver?

The Gold Card is designed for drivers who regularly charge on public networks, particularly those who frequently use BP Pulse, Ionity, Be.EV, or Sainsbury's Smart Charge. If a driver does at least one public charging session per month at a partner network, the bolt-on pays for itself.

How do we encourage drivers to use the reduced rate networks?

The Rightcharge app includes a Gold Card toggle that shows nearby partner network chargers where the savings are applied, making it simple for drivers to choose the best option on any route.

Will drivers need to carry two cards?

If you’d like them to have access to both the reduced price networks, and the wider networks, then yes.
